Voice lessons.

Voice lessons focus on a foundation of proper technique including breath support, placement, tonal quality and dynamics. Interpretation, phrasing and stage presence are a core of advanced vocal lessons while beginner singing lessons teach students how to become comfortable singing with their natural voice.

Classical technique : modern sound. My technical approach is a hybrid of strict classical technique as the foundation (breath and support) with contemporary placement and tone providing a modern sound that translates to popular styles such as Pop, Country, Rock, Blues, Folk, Jazz and Musical Theater. As a contemporary singer and instructor I feel this blend gives the best of both worlds for the modern singer.

Technical instructions are always clear with emphasis on what and how to practice, how to measure progress or “know if I am doing it right” at home, as well as education on why each technique or exercise is being assigned. Singing doesn’t have to be esoteric and confusing. It requires consistent effort over time to achieve great technique, but at a foundational level - it’s very simple. You just need to know how to do a few simple things really well to be a great singer.
